PROJECTS > Eric's Brothers

This is a mock-up for an outdoor installation on south-facing walls. A narrative is revealed through the course of a day based on the position of the sun. The materials are three photographs printed on transparencies and cut into horizontal strips. The transparency strips are mounted perpendicular to the wall and their shadows cast an image based on the time of day/position of the sun. When aligned correctly, the shadows line up to reveal a readable photograph on one piece, while the other two appear disjointed. On a cloudy day the piece does not cast an image and remains sculptural. Ideally the project would be installed in an area experiencing condos in Brooklyn.
